Realme has today launched two smartphones Realme X2 Pro and Realme 5s in the Indian market. After the launch event of both these smartphones, the company's CEO Madhav Seth confirmed that in 2020 the company is about to launch the 5G smartphone. Madhav Seth said that 2020 is going to be big for Realme and at the moment the focus of the company is on MWC 2020. During the launch event, Madhav Seth also said that we are definitely going to launch 5G smartphone in 2020.
Realme X2 Pro has been launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset processor. This is the company's first flagship smartphone. This smartphone has been launched in two RAM options 8GB and 12GB. Talking to Jagran, Madhav Seth also said that the company is not thinking about a smartphone with 108 megapixel camera at the moment. The smartphone with 108 megapixel camera will be launched when more features of the smartphone can support it. Other than this, the company is focusing on devices with more storage.
Realme has recorded tremendous growth in the Indian market in the last quarter (Q2, 2019). According to IDC report, the company has registered a growth of 401 percent in terms of shipment. Realme has sold over 8 million smartphones during the festive season this year, with smartphones with Quad cameras, Realme 5, Realme 5 Pro and Realme XT outnumbering 2 million.
Along with Realme X2 Pro, the company has also launched Realme 5s in India. This smartphone has been launched at an initial price of Rs 9,999. It is the cheapest quad camera smartphone that comes with 48 megapixes. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset processor has been used in this smartphone.
Apart from Realme X2 Pro, the company is going to launch the variants coming with the 730G processor of Realme XT in December this year. This smartphone will be launched under the name of Realme X2. The base model of Realme X2 Pro as well as its Master Edition has also been launched. This edition has been introduced with two color options Brick Red and Concrete Color Option. It has been launched with 12GB + 256GB storage.
