1. Hawa Mahal

3. Sanchi Stupa

Sanchi Stupa is located 46 km north-east of Bhopal, the capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Which is situated on the banks of Betba River in Sanchi city of Raisen district. This place is world-famous for its attractive artworks. Sanchi Stupa was included in the World Heritage Site on 15 October 1982 by UNESCO. Sanchi Stupa was established in the 3rd century BC according to the Ashoka of the Maurya dynasty. The relics of Lord Buddha are kept at this place. Sanchi Stupa is open for tourists from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

4. Konark Sun Temple

Konark Sun Temple is located in Konark, about 35 km north-east of Puri on the coast of Odisha, India. It is a huge temple dedicated to the Sun God related to Hinduism and is one of the major tourist destinations in India. Konark is made up of two words Kona (Kona) and arka. Where angle means corner and extract means sun.

When the two are combined, it is called Sun of the Corner, Konark. This temple is also known as Black Pagoda as the tower of the temple looks black. The Sun Temple of Konark is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1984. The temple is open for tourists from 10 am to 5 pm every day except Friday.

5. Mahabodhi Temple

Mahabodhi Temple is one of the main attractions of Bodh Gaya. This temple was built by Emperor Ashoka. The Temple is built around the original Bodhi tree in the 7th century AD. Mahabodhi Temple is open for tourists from 5 am to 9 pm. There is no entry fee in Mahabodhi temple.

6. Rani Ki Vav

Rani Ki Vav is an ancient historical place located in Gujarat. It is a huge structure which is about 24 meters deep. This charming building was built in the 11th century. This memorial to King Bhimdev of Solanki dynasty was built by his wife Rani Udayamati. Rani Ki Vav is open for tourists from 8 am to 6 pm.

7. Jallianwala Bagh

Jallianwala Bagh is a public park located near the famous Golden Temple of Amritsar which is a memorial commemorating the massacre by the British. This tragic incident left a very bad impact on the country and a memorial was built after independence in the memory of innocent people who lost their lives in this incident.

The massacre memorial established by the Government of India in 1951 at Jallianwala Bagh was inaugurated on 13 April 1961 by Dr. Rajendra Prasad. The place where the murder incident took place by the British has now been converted into a beautiful park. Jallianwala Bagh is open for tourists from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.

8. Gwalior Fort

Gwalior Fort is one of the oldest places in central India. Gwalior Fort is situated on a hill in Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh state. The height of this fort is 35 meters. This fort has been in existence since around the 10th century. Inscriptions and monuments found inside the fort complex in this fort also indicate its 6th century. Gwalior Fort is open for tourists from 6 am to 5:30 pm.

9. Amer Fort

Amer Fort is located on the top of the Aravalli hill in the Pink City of Rajasthan in the state of Rajasthan. This fort is known for its architectural art and history. Amer Fort is so famous in India that around five thousand people come here every day to roam. Situated just 11 km from the state capital, this fort Ambar Fort consists of pink and yellow sandstones. Amer Fort is open for tourists from 9 am to 6 pm.

10. Kumbhalgarh Fort Rajasthan

Kumbhalgarh Fort is a famous historical monument in Rajasthan which is famous for its majestic wildlife sanctuary. This fort built by King Kumbh falls within the Rajsamand district. The distance of Kumbhalgarh Fort from Udaipur is about 82 kilometers. Kumbhalgarh has the second longest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China due to its historical significance. The fort of Kumbhalgarh is open for tourists from 9 am to 5 pm.

11. Lakshmi Vilas Palace

The Lakshmi Vilas Palace was built by the iconic Gaekwad family who ruled Baroda. Initially, a part of it was built in the year 1890 by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad. The Lakshmi Vilas Mahal in particular, offers a splendid example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. Lakshmi Vilas Palace is four times the size of Buckingham Palace and is believed to be the largest private residence at that time. The opening hours of Laxmi Vilas Palace is from 9 am to 5 pm.

12. Gateway of India Mumbai

The Gateway of India Mumbai was constructed during the British period with the purpose of entry and exit. The Gateway of India is one of the important historical monuments of India. This ancient gateway to India was built in the year 1924 and inaugurated by The Viceroy Earl of Reading. The last ship of British India was sailed from the Gateway of India during the 20th century. There is no charge of visiting the Gateway of India.

13. Ajanta and Ellora Caves Maharashtra

The caves of Ajanta and Ellora are historical places located in Maharashtra, India. Real craftsmanship is depicted here and the stones are each carved by hand. In the year 1819, a British officer, John Smith, reached the spot in a chase of a Wagh and exposed the place. The caves of Ajanta and Ellora are related to Hindu, Jain and Mercury religions.

The most interesting thing about these caves is that during the monsoon season Buddhist monks were not allowed to go out of the cave and they used to sit inside and keep sculptures. The opening hours of the caves are from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Ajanta Cave is closed on Monday and Ellora's Cave remains closed on Tuesday.

14. Charminar

Charminar is one of the most beautiful buildings in India. Charminar, located in the center of Hyderabad, is an internationally recognized historical icon. This monument as a tourist destination attracts people immensely. The monument was built when Qutub Shah shifted his capital from Golconda to Hyderabad. Charminar is named after its structure because it has four towers. The four minarets are open from 9:30 am to 5 pm.

15. Mysore Palace

Mysore Palace is a historic building located in the city of Mysore in the state of Karnataka, India. This fort of Mysore is also known as Amba Vilas Palace. The Mysore Palace has been the palace of the royal family and still holds the palace. The ground on which this palace is built must be in the name of Pragiri.

The palace is located in the heart of the Mysore city and is headed towards Chamundi Hills. Mysore is commonly known as the City of Lon Palaces. Mysore Palace is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm. But Sundays and the government are closed on holidays.

16. Hampi

Hampi is a huge temple located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in the state of Karnataka, India. Which are famous all over the world for their beautiful and huge carved temples. This place, in particular, is known worldwide for its historic Virupaksha temple. Which is dedicated to the patron deity of the Vijay Nagar empire. The city of Hampi spread as ruins, is also included in UNESCO World Heritage in 1986.

17. Chola Temples of India Tamil Nadu
There are three major temples built by the rulers of the Chola dynasty. The Brihadeeswara Temple in Tanjore, the Airavateshwara Temple in Darasuram and the Brihadeeswara Temple in Gangaikonda Cholapuram are special. These temples at Tanjore and Cholapuram were constructed during the Gyaravi century. The interesting thing associated with the temples is that once King Cholan had gone on a journey to Sri Lanka and inspired a dream to build the Brihadeeswarar temple in Tanjore. The opening hours of the Chola temple are 6:30 in the morning till 8:30 in the night.

18. Mahabalipuram Tamil Nadu

Mahabali Puram Temple is the historic temple of India, which took 200 years to build. This magnificent temple is in Dravidian style, the stone carvings are done in the temple are good example of Pallava art. The 11 temples named Mandapas in Mahabali Puram are built on top of the hills. The most interesting thing about this temple is how the water of Ganga Maiya carved out of pink granite has been landed by Lord Shiva.

This place is a major railway station in Mumbai, the capital of the state of Maharashtra. Built-in 1887, it was the headquarters of the Central Railway. It was built on the 50th birthday of Queen Victoria. It took 10 years to build.

20. Gol Gumbaz Karnataka

The Gol Gumbaz is built in 1656 in the tomb of Muhammad Adil Shah, the seventh ruler of the Adil Shah dynasty. It took 30 years to build Gol Gumbaz. Gol Gumbaz is open for tourists from 10 am to 5 pm.
