By Road

Buses are easily available from Varanasi to various cities of the state like Lucknow (8 hours), Kanpur (9 hours) and Allahabad (3 hours). Traveling to Varanasi by bus can be a bit inconvenient, so do not plan to go by bus to Banaras. Rail or flight is the best way to go to Varanasi.

By Rail

Varanasi has two railway junctions: 1) Varanasi Junction and 2) Mughal Sarai Junction. This two railway junction is 15 km east of the city. Is situated at this distance. These railway stations easily get many trains in a day to Delhi, Agra, Lucknow, Mumbai and Kolkata.

By Air

Varanasi has an international airport which is connected by direct flights to many cities of the country such as Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Khajuraho and Kolkata etc.
